Roy Farms, a family-owned diversified farming operation in Moxee, Washington, has become the first Yakima hop grower certified for protection of water quality, water conservation, and other farming practices to protect the local watershed. Roy Farms also was one of the first Yakima Valley farms to seek Salmon-Safe certification through a pilot project utilizing a new quantitative tool to test pest management ecological impacts. The farm achieved Salmon-Safe certification on organic parcels totaling 150-acres.

Portland Parks & Recreation(PP&R) has been re-certified by Salmon-Safe, an Oregon nonprofit promoting land management practices that help Pacific salmon thrive in west coast watersheds.
