We’re happy to announce that Georgetown Brewing in Seattle today released its first fully certified Salmon-Safe beer, Ecotone, a Cold IPA. The hops for the brew were sourced from Salmon-Safe partners Roy Farms (Yakima, WA), Perrault Farms (Yakima, WA), and Crosby Farms (Woodburn, OR), with the malt sourced from Mainstem Malt (Walla Walla, WA).

100% of the proceeds of this beer will be going to Latino Outdoors and their regional Washington chapter Latino Outdoors Washington. Latino Outdoors is a nonprofit organization that works to “inspire, connect, and engage Latino communities in the outdoors and embrace cultura y familia as part of the outdoor narrative, ensuring our history, heritage, and leadership are valued and represented.”

Caitlin Singer, Quality & Sustainability Coordinator of Georgetown Brewing, notes that “protecting and restoring our watersheds benefits everyone and helps keep our Northwest ecosystems vibrant. That’s what inspires us to source Salmon-Safe hops and malt”

Salmon-Safe is pleased to be a part of this collaboration that not only highlights sustainably sourced ingredients but also supports the latino community of the PNW and beyond.
