On February 19, Salmon-Safe and Salmon-Safe BC presented an online session with WSU’s Dr. Jenifer McIntyre introducing the groundbreaking new research related to tire dust killing coho salmon returning to urban waterways. A team led by researchers at the University of Washington and Washington State University have discovered a chemical in tires that kills the fish before they can spawn.
